Along the Setteponti Road

Along the Setteponti Road

It is a slow route of about 60 kilometers of hills among olive trees, well-ordered vineyards and farmhouses scattered in the typical Tuscan countryside where its treasures are found

Romanesque churches and millenary churches, medieval villages among the most beautiful in Italy and the characteristic cliffs of the Valdarno.
Not to be lost:

Former Abbey of San Salvatore a Soffena
Piantravigne
Loro Ciuffenna
La Pieve di Gropina
Il Borro
Ponte Buriano

Montemarciano
Loro Ciuffenna
La Pieve di San Pietro a Gropina
Montemarciano
Arrived at the junction leading to the medieval village of Montemarciano perched on the cliffs where the ancient gate is still intact, there is a beautiful church with the loggia: it is the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie built around a miraculous image of Virgin that is inside and that many attribute to Masaccio.

They Ciuffenna
One of the most characteristic villages of the Upper Valdarno and also included this among "The most beautiful villages in Italy". It is located right in the middle of the Setteponti road. Among the various things to see there is the oldest water mill in Tuscany still in operation, and the Venturino Venturi museum.
